Anna Drosou, M.D.
Anna Drosou, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist with fellowship training in procedural (surgical and cosmetic) dermatology. Originally from Greece, Dr. Drosou received her medical degree from the Medical School at the University of Athens, Greece in 1997. She received several scholastic achievement awards and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Upon graduation she completed a research fellowship in Wound Healing, followed by internship and residency in Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at University of Miami's School of Medicine. Dr. Drosou furthered her skills with an additional year of intensive training as a Procedural Dermatology Fellow under the direction of Dr. Leonard Goldberg at DermSurgery Associates and Houston Methodist Hospital, in Houston, Texas.
A patient's choice as one of the "Best Doctors for Dermatology," Dr. Drosou has received numerous awards for her research and presentations. She is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) and a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). She has participated in several research trials and authored multiple book chapters, abstracts and articles in dermatologic peer-reviewed journals.
Prior to her relocation in Houston, she was practicing dermatology in Florida for several years and served as an instructor at the University of Miami Department of Dermatology. Currently, she is excited to be serving the Pearland community with all their skin care needs including medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She is skillful with patients of all ages and skin types. Her interests include the detection and treatment of skin cancers and pre-cancers and she specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction after removal of skin cancers. Dr. Drosou provides customized treatment plans for skin care, based on the patients' skin type, age, and individual preferences. Her training and experience with botulinum toxin, fillers and chemical peels ensure natural outcomes for her patients.

Denise Hixon, PA-C
Denise earned her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Houston and her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from University of North Texas, Health Science Center. A licensed and certified Physician Assistant, she is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Denise is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
With a special interest in general and medical dermatology, surgical dermatology and cosmetics measures like injectables and laser procedures, Denise is passionate about getting results for her patients. She describes herself as "adamant" about seeing a patient through to clearer skin. Denise has deep empathy for frustrated patients who struggle with accepting their skin condition, making the choice to diagnose and treat it, and working through the inevitable ups and downs of treatment to finally achieve clearer skin they can be comfortable in.
In addition to Denise’s impressive training credentials, she has also made important contributions in industry research and literature. She supported multiple research projects alongside doctors at DermSurgery Associates, getting to participate in what she calls the "soul of medicine." In this role, she collaborated with colleagues to evaluate procedural safety and efficacy and to explore additional treatment options. She has also authored articles in Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, Dermatologic Surgery, Dermatology Online and Journal of American Academy of Dermatology. |
